Yeah he could well end up signing the fact we’ve let him walk out the building with the chance of another team picking him up if they offer a better deal when he’s been talking about signing with us all offseason is a shambles.

Typical vet free agent move. Wait out TC then see who is in need and pick your deal. Bengals are still the best sitch of the 3 teams named so i figure it will all play out in about a week. 

They surprised everyone with Fant and there wasn't a realistic chance of them knocking him out with an offer he couldn't refuse, so there's still a chance.

At the same time, the guy wants to make money doing his craft. He needs to get the offers from the other interested teams and then the Bengals can make an intelligent offer.

Yeah, I find myself going to PnR to get some civility; I NEVER thought that would happen. If the FO and team make you that angry "spiteful cow", why do you stay a fan? 

And all this because we didn't sign an FA OG who no one else has seemed interested in. I applaud them for recognizing the problem and looking for answers. My hope is they watched Rivers last night and thought, we really don't need him that bad. But at a minmum they've shown interest in doing something.
