The Bengals should see if they can trade Browning for a decent guard option.

I know that sounds crazy, but its worth exploring. And by decent, I mean a guard that is just servicable at this point. Like Im good with 15-20 ranked in PFF. It'd be worth doing, especially since it sounds like he won't be back next year.

No one is trading anything worthwhile for Jake Browning.

Flacco is the Browns starting QB week 1. If Pickett and Gabriel are healthy, he may not survive the cut.

Aa for Volson playing C. Lee is out. McLauglin has all of one practice back from injury. Patrick has C experience, but is starting at RG. Raym has been the only available C backup for most of camp. So I don't mind giving Volson a look. Is he better than Raym? Lee? 

They need to sign Risner. Patrick is looking terrible in my opinion. I honestly think we are putting Burrow at risk with him in there. I dont know if he's not fully healthy or not but something needs to happen.

Sanders looked good in the preseason. He may actually have some trade value if they are thinking of not keeping him which I doubt.

Too bad the NFL canceled the supplemental draft this year.  It would have given the Browns a chance to draft yet another QB.

He did OK, but he was playing against 2nd, 3rd and 4th string guys, he played deep into quarter 3. He should have looked great.

I don't see trade value, but never say never.

But knowing Browns, they probably trade him and give up a 6th round for a 7th.

There is no way Dalton Risner ain't better than these jabronis they are throwing out there at RG this year.
And for anyone who says "maybe not run blocking," this offense has $55 mill APY invested in Burrow, $69 mill APY invested between Chase and Higgins, and over $10 mill APY invested between Gesicki and Fant. The passing game is clearly the focal point, so pass protection needs to be the priority when looking for OL.
If Patrick, Ford, Volson, or whoever starts can't keep the defender away from Burrow, I don't want them out there.

Well someone suggested trading Browning which may have been a joke as I don't think there is any value there at all. Sanders has value how much im not sure. But he looked a heck of alot better than both our backups in his first preseason game.

Patrick has looked bad the last week and maybe that's all we've actually been able to see out of him. He's had some reps where he gets beat right at the snap. There's no way this team can ignore that if his play continues this way the next 2 weeks. Risner should and could definitely be signed and be an improvement. But if the Bengals aren't gonna do that than we need to try different players in that spot sooner rather than later.

I'll never say a team wouldn't trade for a guy (we saw someone actually being willing to trade for Billy Price, after all), but if I was another team, I would never trade for a QB unless I thought they could get my team deep into the playoffs.
I don't think Browning is that type of QB, so I would not trade for him.

OG (and especially RG) was the big concern all Summer.
We've seen Ford play RG before, and he's atrocious. He's (far) better on the left side, either at LT or especially LG.
Patrick hasn't played much RG in 5 years, and perhaps there's a reason for that.
Volson hasn't been good his entire 3 year career, so there's no reason to think he'll be fine at RG.
We haven't really seen Matt Lee or Jalen Rivers at RG (or at least I haven't).

Clock's ticking for them to figure it out. 3 weeks from Sunday is Game 1.

3 weeks man that's scary to think about. Thats the problem with the wait and see approach with the Bengals unless an injury comes there fine waiting the whole season before making an addition. I thought I did see Volson played RG in college? Not sure he's an exciting option but he may actually be better than what Patrick looks to be. I guess Patrick will have Monday night but I'm worried.

What were Ford's rankings at RG, LG and LT? It is not the absolute, but least maybe can provide texture to your comments.

I don't know whether to root for him or hope he fails miserably so FO goes and gets Risner.

I am still miffed Risneris available because he is healthy and we are not alone with a need for a quality guard.
