Draft Day is in the books. Many. fans are not happy, I am better after I read the role Stewart was asked to play at A&M.
We grabbed a DE Stewart in round one to shore up our DL in 2025. I feel we need a guard next and this one may be available>
Pre-Draft Analysis
Savaiinaea lined up at right tackle, left tackle and right guard in college. At the combine, he tied for the second-fastest 10-yard split (1.72) out of the offensive linemen and ran a 4.95 40-yard dash. Those are impressive numbers for an offensive lineman, especially one who weighs 324 pounds. He played guard in four games in 2023, and he's a better pass blocker on the inside than at tackle. Savaiinaea's length and frame make it tough to get around him when he plays inside. He moves well enough to mirror when his footwork is sound, and he's strong enough to anchor when he wins with his hands. He primarily played offensive tackle, and he can provide depth there in the NFL. He's not a fundamentally sound run blocker, but he is big enough to wall off defenders and strong enough to get push. -- Steve Muench
It would work for me, he seems very athletic and could also be a backup at tackle as he competes year 1 at OG.
Who you got with 2nd pick?

Love Savaiinaea myself or Ratledge or his teammate Jared Wilson of Georgia if we go OL.
I think Jared Wilson can play Guard right off the bat even if he played Center at Georgia. Mbow out of Purdue could be a
good Guard for us as well.
Darius Alexander, Norman-Lott, Ty Robinson for DT, Emmanwori, Watts for Safety or Landon Jackson, Kennard or Princely
if we aren't sold on Shemar are some others. But I think the FO is sold on Shemar and that is why they picked him. We will
see how it works out and I expect other picks we don't expect.
We brought in Samaje which I liked, but we kept Zack Moss which I didn't so I just don't know ha ha
A blocking TE like Erick All could certainly be picked as we know this isn't Mike G.

I don’t even care at this point. I’ve lost all faith in the FO and ownership.
After all the money spent and our first round pick, we have not gotten better one bit in either side of the ball. The remaking draft isn’t enough to make enough of a difference to compete in the division with Baltimore or Pittsburgh and

I think we are done at DE. I think we add a cheap vet or UFA for DT
If Emmanwori fell, tough choice for them.
I think we have to try and get Savaiinaea or Rutledge in round 2 personally. If they are gone and Emmanwori is available, would be good with that pick. The East Carolina Revel may be best CB in draft if healthy, but would much rather go guard or safety than an injured CB.

It is way to early tho throw in the towel. It was ot a pick I was hoping for as far as the player, but it was for the position. I like Mike Green and others, but the guy weighs 250 maximum so will have a hard time holding the edge in the NFL against huge guards and tackles.
I will always have faith as long as Joe Burrow is on the field. Hang in there, I could be wrong and Stewart becomes next Reggie White in a few years.

I get being disappointed but not in giving up on them. At the end of the day it’s just entertainment for us and we don’t know for sure how good or bad Stewart will be.
I think they have to go G or S in the 2nd. If Watts is there he would be my guess due to his play at ND and his connection to Golden.

I think we are too. But pass rush is still a need unless we expect all the DL to develop very rapidly under Montgomery and company.
Emmanwori or Watts would be too good at 49 to pass up unless a stud like Ratledge or Savaiinaea is there and I don't know their board at all.
Good Guards usually fall further than great playmakers, just the way it is.

2024 was epic too, technically. I mean, the front office stinks. It's always stunk with mikey at the helm. The blackburns seem to be the same

I decided a long time to never get upset or worry about things I can't control.
Of course I also moved to Florida so in November iif Bengal's season is over, I head to the pool and watch games while on a pool lounge chair.
I had little hope the year the Bengals went to and I watched in LA almost win. They had one of the biggest turn arounds in NFL history. The bright side is don't have to improve by 5 wins to get to the playoffs. Get Burrow there and we become a very tugh to team to eliminate.

My big board for #49:
1. Tate Ratledge, OG Georgia
2. Jonah Savaiinaea, OG Arizona
3. TJ Sanders DT, South Carolina
4. Xavier Watts S, Notre Dame
5. Nick Emmanwori S, South Carolina
6. Kevin Winston Jr. S, Penn State
7. Trey Amos CB, Ole Miss
8. Will Johnson CB, Michigan
9. Omarr Norman Lott DT, Tennessee
10. Shavon Revel CB, East Carolina
11. Carson Schwesinger LB, UCLA
12. Wyatt Milum OG, West Virginia
13. Jared Wilson OG/OC, Georgia
14. Mike Green Edge, Marshall
15. Donovan Ezeiruaku Edge, Boston College
16. Nic Scourton Edge, Texas A&M
17. Bradyn Swinson Edge, LSU
18. Princely Umanmielen Edge, Ole Miss
I know I listed a lot of DEs at the end there, and that's because, frustratingly, the position we selected in the first round was one that there is still a lot of talent at in the 2nd round. Imagine if we had drafted someone like Derrick Harmon, or Malaki Starks, we could have had a healthy set of options at edge in the 2nd round. Hopefully, a bunch of them are taken in front of us, allowing other players to drop to our 2nd round pick.

of course there will be ups and downs but, idk. I also wasnt on board with signing tee for big money. Didnt feel like a winning move. Feels like the burrow era already peaked. This FO has fumbled almost all of these drafts since getting burrow and higgins. 21 was awful outside of chase. Mcpherson has declined. You cant waste the opportunity when having a qb like burrow, and they have with these drafts

I had Ratledge after Stewart in the mock, just sounds like something they'll do. More OL came off the board than expected which could set a domino effect there. If the OL move, safety may have the value so maybe Watts.
I know one thing, get one of those free agent guards on the phone.
