I dunno I’m grasping at straws

Oh yea you’re a nba fan. I’m a huge jokic guy and that front office and cincy’s is eerily similar how they fumbled 2 all time greats. I know the nuggets won a title, but joker is the greatest offensive player to ever play, and they have given him garbage

1. Tate Ratledge, OG Georgia
2. Jonah Savaiinaea, OG Arizona
3. TJ Sanders DT, South Carolina
4. Xavier Watts S, Notre Dame
5. Nick Emmanwori S, South Carolina
6. Kevin Winston Jr. S, Penn State
7. Trey Amos CB, Ole Miss
8. Will Johnson CB, Michigan
9. Omarr Norman Lott DT, Tennessee
10. Shavon Revel CB, East Carolina
11. Carson Schwesinger LB, UCLA
12. Wyatt Milum OG, West Virginia
13. Jared Wilson OG/OC, Georgia
14. Mike Green Edge, Marshall
15. Donovan Ezeiruaku Edge, Boston College
16. Nic Scourton Edge, Texas A&M
17. Bradyn Swinson Edge, LSU
18. Princely Umanmielen Edge, Ole Miss

I know I listed a lot of DEs at the end there, and that's because, frustratingly, the position we selected in the first round was one that there is still a lot of talent at in the 2nd round. Imagine if we had drafted someone like Derrick Harmon, or Malaki Starks, we could have had a healthy set of options at edge in the 2nd round. Hopefully, a bunch of them are taken in front of us, allowing other players to drop to our 2nd round pick.

Just another reason why the pick was so dumb. But a lot of good names there. I am taking the true DEs off the board. If someone like Green or Ezeiruaku can play OLB, then MAYBE theyvare pickable. But I don't really believe it.

Now, and end that could kick inside might make some sense. Burch?

I will give it a go:

1. Johnson, CB, Michigan
2. Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
3. Watts, S, Notre Dame
4. Alexander, DT, Toledo
5. Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
6. Revel, CB, East Carolina
7. Ratledge, G, Georgia
8. Savaiinaea, T/G, Arizona
9. Winston, S, Penn State
10. Wilson, C/G, Georgia
11. Amos, CB, Ole Miss
12. Sanders, DT, South Carolina
13. Schwesinger, LB, UCLA
14. Henderson, RB, Ohio State
15. Thomas, CB, Florida State
------------------
16. Green, OLB/Edge, Marshall
17. Ezeiruaku, OLB/Edge, BC

Feels like the burrow era already peaked. This FO has fumbled almost all of these drafts since getting burrow and higgins. 21 was awful outside of chase. Mcpherson has declined. You cant waste the opportunity when having a qb like burrow, and they have with these drafts

Where do you get this stuff. Burrow is getting better and better each season. Last season was an MVP season for Burrow. The fact he was in the conversation and not even in the playoffs proves that. Chase won the Triple Crown. Hendrickson led the league in sacks. Chase and Higgins are locked down, Mike G is doing a great job at TE. We found the running game with Brown. We missed the playoffs by one game, and like all Taylor teams, they were coming on strong toward the end of the season. Basically a few defensive pieces and we would have been right in it last year, even with sub-par guards and an injury devastated defense. The Burrow era, after a few years of injury setbacks, is just getting started. It's Brucy's time to shine!!!

do we ultimately root for the bengals or burrow? Because the bengals were bad last year

Just about every Mock Round 2 I saw this morning have Bengals getting Watts. Seems like an obvious pick based off Golden.

After all the money spent and our first round pick, we have not gotten better one bit in either side of the ball. The remaking draft isn’t enough to make enough of a difference to compete in the division with Baltimore or Pittsburgh and

take away the multitude of injuries that has beset this club the past two years...we have completed pretty well

I agree we need to go OL. But if w do not, either Emmanwori or Watts would not break my heart.

I'm coming to grips with the Stewart pick, but this is where extra pick in a trade back would have helped.  Getting an extra 3rd gives you ammo to deal back up into the top of the 3rd and still land a solid guard/safety.  We need a guard that can start and I'm sure they would like Watts to help with defensive chemistry.  Ersery looks like a quality tackle but can he move to guard?

I think they have to go G or S in the 2nd. If Watts is there he would be my guess due to his play at ND and his connection to Golden.

I agree and think Golden is dialed in on Watt, but would be happy if the Bengals drafted a guard to protect the franchise.

Their of those routes would make me happy.

If Emmanwori is on the board i hope we take him and then get a guard in the 3rd and then sign one of Scherff or Risner. If they do that i will feel a little better about the Stewart pick.

Warming up to the idea of Ersery. Seems like a tough kid with great size and explosive strength.

Well, they got a DE who can pressure but not finish. Any Guards available who can’t anchor well? Or a rangy, yet cross-eyed safety? Perhaps a LB who’s had his bell rung a few times already? How about a RIGHT tackle we can switch to LEFT guard?

I jest. I SERIOUSLY hope they upgrade at G and safety now with KNOWN PRODUCERS. I’m a bit salty with the Stewart pick, with how many DE are available in this draft, and felt they should have gone G/T while “the gettin’s good” (Jackson was my preference).

I think S,DT,G,CB are all in play today. I also think a trade back will be in play at some point today based on Duke mentioning looking to get more picks. I don't think they see the pressure to get a guard as I think they can go back to FA for one if the board doesn't shake out right but I do think we walk away with a safety at some point today and Watts makes a lot of sense with his familiarity to Golden.

After seeing Tate Ratledge's (sp?) mullet, I want him on the Bengals. Now. ThumbsUp

I think G/S/DT are the clear priorities. CB has some good value in Rd2 as well.

And lets not forget, there are still some starting quality Gs left in FA: Will Hernandez & Risner have played both sides, Scherff RG only. Blackmon is a starter quality safety.

But I usually bank on us doing something dumb. In this case, we don't value G or S, so well either take an OT and try to move him (Carman 2.0) or take a RB after bringing Moss back.

My guess is Ersery or Henderson.
