I totally get all that, especially the emotional part when the player is selected. I completely understand why people love the "soap opera" part of sports, and I don't mean that in a rude or negative way.
It just doesn't really do anything for me. Nothing other than the actual competition part of pro sports really interests me.
Maybe it's because I don't live around Cincy. Maybe if a bunch of my friends were Bengals fans I would be more interested in at least the draft.
