Also thought Knight has been out there practicing.
It makes sense: Hubbard is still listed at his rookie weight, so at first glance of the numbers, it throws your brain for a curve.
His arms look 1/2 bigger now than they did as a rookie lol and he DEFINITELY put on some bulk.

Who knows how long Trey may sit out and how effective Stewart might be if he keeps missing time.
These contract issues are turning a position of strength into one of the weakest spots on the team.
When you have a limited window for a franchise QB a DE who has been the only strength of our defense and a totally raw 1st round pick that needs reps, I don't understand the logic of hard balling your players or making a moral stand when winning at the bargaining table is your real motive.

For sure the listed size and weight just doesn't add up when looking at Sam and Joseph.

We all just want these guys in the fold heading into the season with some preseason snaps and practicing.
I think this is everyone. I don't know what the deal is with Shemar, I bet he gets signed any day now. With Trey?
With his agent? Could be right up to the start of the season and that sucks for everybody that is for the Bengals.

The strength of our defense will be our D-Line. Our Run D will be tough.
Slaton, Jackson, Hill and Jenkins rotating in the interior, with Shemar, Murphy, Trey and Ossai on the outside.
What Shemar brings is versatility. Can line up at 4, 5 or 6 at RDE or LDE. His power, edge-setting, penetrating game in the backfield will be fun to watch.
If we get our LBs and Secondary to gel, this will be our best defense since '21.

Sure hope you are right brother. I love having a good run Defense. Cannot stand it when we are getting run all over.
Love our upside on the DL and adding Knight to our LB's to help our run Defense. Knight takes great angles and tackles well the opposite of the
guy we are cutting right now in Pratt. Shemar was great at sealing the edge in college, so he should be an upgrade over what we saw from Sam
the last couple of years when he was hurt and slow as molasses.

Good point about Knight, Nate.
I am also excited about Barrett Carter. NFL draft thoughts on his strengths:
Strengths
- Prototypical range and athleticism to patrol across the field.
- Has skill set to stack up impact plays around and behind the line of scrimmage.
- Good stick-and-move hands and short-area quicks to elude blocks.
- Outstanding pacing and change-of-direction talent when pursuing in space.
- Agile with a twitchy burst to close distance to tackle in short spaces.
- Standout blitzer and an ideal quarterback spy.
- Enough coverage talent to run and carry backs in space.

Nice, love the Barrett pick as well, I just figured he would play ST's his rookie year and slowly make his way up to being a starter, but
you never know if Logan Wilson gets hurt again. We need a great QB spy in our Division with Lamar and now Shedeur and when we
play Mahomes and Josh Allen. I think Knight is an instant starter for us next to Logan and will really help on run blitzes and such.

Nate, given that ADG is also gone, I think Barrett will be on the field more than we think.
Additionally; given his coverage ability, I could see him as the second LB on third downs along with Wilson.

Could be right, but Knight can cover too. He is a pretty good all around LB himself which is why I love both picks so much.
Still thought we could of got Knight in a trade back was my only critique, but you can only trade back if there are offers. Golden really wanted Knight
though, he was ecstatic to get him in the 2nd. Must know something we don't. I like Knight a lot though as you can tell. Barrett is another good one
but there is a reason he lasted until the 3rd.

I agree. I think Knight will be the Viper.
