Also as far as funding sources as mentioned previously in this thread the county and Bengals are looking at potential money from Ohio's unclaimed funds that might be made available for other things now. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/politics/2025/06/25/potential-money-for-bengals-stadium-in-latest-version-of-ohio-budget/84263242007/ ![]() ![]()

The Bengals and Hamilton County's negotiators have reached a tentative agreement for a new Paycor Stadium lease that will deliver a scaled-down renovation project, with a larger initiative possible if the state of Ohio provides more money.

Quote:$470 million worth of stadium improvements, which have been scaled back from the planned $830 million in a memorandum signed in April. How does the renovations cost get cut in half? Either it needs to be renovated or it doesn't. Since the Bengals are "managing" renovations under the new agreement, does that mean they were gouging the county/taxpayers?

Because most of it does not "ned" to be, they just "want" to renovate it. ![]()

I actually really like Paycor now, esecpailly since they've put some more money/renovations into it. I'm hopeful they can make the 300 million go a long way in making it even better. If you really want an upgrade, you need an indoor facility. That opens up worlds of possiblites. Doesnt sound like that's happening, though. ![]() The boys are just talkin' ball, babyyyy

Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

sent to those on the Bengals email list
We are pleased to share with you that we’ve reached an agreement with Hamilton County on a new lease that keeps our team playing at Paycor Stadium for at least the next decade. Cincinnati is our home. We have always wanted to continue the team’s legacy here since Paul and Mike founded the franchise here in 1967. We have been hard at work for the past seven years to make this a reality. This agreement reflects our deep commitment to the heart of downtown, to our incredible fan base, and to the values we all share. The new lease is all about the future. We’ve worked hard with Hamilton County to create a deal that is fair, good for the public, and keeps the Bengals and Paycor Stadium able to compete at the highest levels in the NFL. Both parties have a shared vision for modernizing Paycor Stadium to enhance your gameday experience, to drive economic growth along the riverfront and to deliver more unforgettable moments for fans for years to come. We will share more details closer to this season about stadium renovations, which aim to improve everyone’s gameday experience and continue to build upon one of the best atmospheres and home-field advantages in the NFL. We love this city, and we love our fans. Our football team, our franchise and our family do what we do for you. We will continue to invest in our team, our stadium, and our community with the motivation to win games and compete for championships for you and Cincinnati. Thank you for believing in us. Plenty of seats, plenty of Jumbotrons, typical stadium food and drink, and in a great location to pre-game on the Banks. I like it just the way it is and when I drive down Death Hill in Kentucky and it comes into view, I think it looks awesome. But I'm not a "keep up with the Jones'" type person. When I drive past the stadium in Nashville or M&T in Baltimore, they suck. (And yes, I realize they are building a new one in Nashville, but from the looks of what they are putting up, it's not going to look much different than the other one. Now, if we were talking building a dome, then that's another conversation. But if we are keeping a stadium, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Paycor. ![]() ![]()

Seems to me everytime they talk renovations, the number one thing that comes up on the list is new suites. Sorry, for the few people who can afford suites, I don't think that's a wise way to spend money. ![]()

On Thursday, the county's presentation noted that its funding of 75% of the total cost was lower than in other cities such as Charlotte or Baltimore. The Carolina Panthers' current stadium construction is subsidized by 81.25%. The Ravens are committing just $20 million to its renovation of M&T Bank Stadium that will cost around $490 million, with the remaining money coming from state funding. ![]() Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

If they were going to renovate, a dome should have been added. This is a waste of money in my humble opinion. ![]() Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

The new Titans stadium will look much different from the current one from pictures I've seen and it is going to have a fully enclosed translucent roof. The later alone makes it significantly different than the current one in my opinion. ![]() ![]() |
