You basically just said "If a historically stubborn old man who doesn't want to pay you your actual value and doesn't want to trade you hasn't paid you or traded you, you're not valuable?" Absolutely terrible and illogical take.

But the stubborn old man has agreed to pay him his actual value. He's just not wanting to guarantee that salary for three years on a 30 year old Defensive End, who although led the league in sacks, has never cracked any top 5 DE list I've seen. Just kind of shows the Bengals are correct when they pointed out to him he got most of his sacks in just a few games last year.
