They should have signed him to a similar structure to Miles and Watt, but at a slightly lower rate. They have the money, they're just stubborn assholes that don't want to guarantee year 3 (and who knows, maybe year 2 as well).
They're not remotely serious about winning a championship the way it NEEDS to be done. They want to do it their own hard-ass way and they're going to fail for eternity.
