I was thinking the same thing. They could sign him for a 1 million base salry and 30 million in bonus in 2025 thus a 1 million cap hit. then give him a base of 31 million in 2026 with all guarateed, ten 32 million in 2027 with 50% guaranteed.
Any team could trade for him and extend Trey for 3 years if they want.
Those who think the Bengals don't have a ton of cap space availble are wrong. The Bengals could extend Trey by giving him a 20 million 2025 bonus and allocate all of it to 2026 and 2027 cap if they wanted. But why should team push cap to later years when they don't have to do it.
