The worse this gets and if a new deal doesn't get done, I don't see how the Bengals will come out of it looking it good. Way more important than the optics though, Golden better be the next Belichick or this season will most likely be a wash. Get the deal done.
A team would need to be very desperate to give up a 1st. That said, there likely aren't any teams sitting there with the ability to give Trey $30+ million. It's too late in the game. Cap space is gone.
