I guess they are morons and lack your expertise and have no clue what they asked him to do on the field? You have all the answers.

BTW..show me where I ever said Murphy was a good NFL player. You won't find it, I have stated he has been disappointing. The difference is you gave up on him ignoring our coaching staff's ability to access NFL talent, I have not given on a guy in year 2 who was injured in year 1. Plenty of time to trash him later if the Bengals cut him per your recomendation.
