The Bengals already have enough cap space if they wanted to add someone, so it's not like they need the space. Meanwhile even if Karras isn't going to be your starter, he's still a quality backup at both C and LG for when an inevitable injury happens somewhere on the line.

If Matt and Seth are good enough to replace Karras.Then, yes I would have no problem with cutting karras.
If neither one are capable of replacing Karras; then yes I have problem with them cutting Karras.
From what I'm reading about lee and McLaughlin is that the FO and coaching staff are very high on both players. Which suggests to me a Karras cut isn't out of the realm of reality(I would agree that its unlikely).
I would also doubt they would risk either Lee or Mclaughlin to waivers considering both are candidates to fill the Center role long term and are team friendly deals.
