Erik, while I get the acl wasn't repaired right, did catch my attention last summer for the amount of work he was getting coming off of injury, and they do have a history rushing players they draft/sign as undrafted free agents back from injury for some reason. When they could stash them on pup for the start of the season to keep them around.

All ended up being good, but we did at the time have a number of TE's in the room and theoretically didn't need to rush him back. 

However, none of those guys offered the same sort of dynamic that Eric All did. I'm not saying that the team was right to allow him to play so much so soon, but we've also read that the surgical repair is what failed him upon his return and not from anything that he did to cause it to tear again.
