Or maybe y'all are just better than the normal jabroni leagues I've played against the past 10-15 years :)
I like your Zac Taylor part that doesn't copy over. You are correct, a better start to season is needed. Taylor is doing something he hasn't this year. Taylor hasn't played starters in preseason and they haven't been ready to play start of season. So this year he played the starters 1st quarter preseason game one and plans on starters 1st half of preseason game two. Of course Paul Brown or no coach uses starters the last preseason game too close to start of season, and can't take chance of injury. Anthony Munoz on Bengals TV as preseason game announcer says he likes the starters playing in preseason. Munoz says work room and practice is not the same as getting your butt out there on the field in a game, and that Bengals will be more prepared for Cleveland because Taylor has starters in preseason games for a change. The Bengals NFL Hall Of Fame Tackle Munoz should know. He played under Hall of Fame Tackle Forrest Gregg who played under Hall of Fame Coach Vince Lombardi. It is very Vince Lombardi to get starters in preseason games and in Football Shape to be ready for Cleveland week one. Another example was Sam Wyche tried to have mental and less physical training camps, and it produced losses. Paul Brown for first time in a decade came down on the field and helped Wyche run a more physical training camp and preseason, and Bengals went to Super Bowl that season. Paul Brown said Wyche was a good coach, but just needed to be shown how to get these players into shape in preseason.
Zac Taylor playing the starters in preseason has produced better records in the past. Soft and easy preseasons in past have caused too many losses. So Bengals should be ready to beat Cleveland after starters playing some preseason for a change. Bengals playing themselves into shape in September never wins games, but Bengals playing themselves into shape in August has brought September wins.
