The only thing I'd change about our depth is to make Lucas Patrick part of it.
As to Safety, we really should bring in a veteran, but it appears they like the young kids (Anderson, Anthony, Jules)
We agree on Patrick.
Your OL IQ is higher than mine, so I should defer to your judgement, but I don't like Ford. Or, I should say, he is a guy who has more value not playing than playing. He can play 4 spots (everything but C). He is a great guy to have active on game day because he allows you to go light on OL and carry another position. But I think OT3 is a rung too high on the ladder for him. Secondary backup for me in a good OL. OT4/G4. Better at OT than G for my money. But the OT market is grim. Cochran/Kirkland/Stueber/Etienne look like it.
Volson needs to go. He just whiffs too often. Use that $$ to pay a starter (Risner, Scherff, even Mason). Then Patrick can be the primary IOL backup and 3rd C. Where he belongs. Plus, if they have concluded OT is beyond Rivers, then we are overflowing at G.
I believe the team is high on McLaughlin. I do not think we want to risk him. I think either 53 to IR or straight IR before cutdowns. Lee as backup C on the 53, Raym on PS.
