Just about every organization would realize this and do everything they could to help those guys out. This is the time you dream of as a fan or organization and the Bengals are unable to realize that.
The question is are they unable to truly evaluate the talent they have. We let Bates and Whitworth go because we undervalue theyre talent and assume its easily replaceable. Do we think there is no difference between Burrow and our previous recent QBs?
Or does winning it all not matter to the team and just the fact we have Burrow and Chase do enough to keep the fans interested and funds beyond what is needed to be spent is viewed as a waste?
They know what they have in Burrow. It’s why we’ve seen some of the changes we have since he’s been here. They’re just unwilling to truly go all in to help win that first championship. Imagine if they had paid Bates, extended Trey, and brought in Zeitler. They would have been one of the odds on favorites going into the season.
