Yeah, I just shook my head. He's usually really good at filling the hole, but I do remember a few distinct times in the past couple of years where he did take the wrong angle (it was the opposite with Pratt: he would NEVER take the right angle, save for once in a blue moon).
Ivey also had a rough first 2/3 snaps, then a really good 1/3 snaps. He is a top gunner on Teams and every time he had played on D for us since drafted, he has popped some nice plays.
My mentality is always that once the 3rd string/PS/cut guys come into the game, it is purely to see some big plays and be entertained: if they get gashed, I couldn't care less.
