Surely it's not because the best player on the team is rarely healthy enough to be an impact player in those first couple of weeks. Right?
This thing is pretty simple, people want to overcomplicate it.
One big reason that the Zac Taylor led teams have been so slow out of the gate could be attributed to the history of Charmin Soft training camps and lack of preseason action by most of the starting lineup.
Even when Burrow has been injured, the rest of the offense, the OL in particular could have really used those live reps to get on the same page. Then maybe, just maybe they could come out on opening day and act like they've played together a time or two.
