You should re-read this specifically if you don't think the majority of posters are the same. The difference is Fred posted like 30 times a day every day. My post count is like .8 a day that's how me and you can get away with being an asshole and Fred couldn't lol.
I think it's normal to get into disagreements, even heated ones, with other people on the same team or same passions as you, right? I mean, it happens, and it usually isn't a big deal.... unless someone is bringing that into EVERY SINGLE THREAD to the point of constant bans & warnings & derailment. That was what Fred was routinely bringing to the table.
Fun fact: There was a mod on here (they haven't been on the board in over a year) that had gotten very very upset when I got the upper hand in a debate they were quite vested in about Sewell or Chae (he was all in on Sewel). He got so furious to the point where he literally followed me into every thread I posted and would quote/comment at me. He would try to taunt me with incredibly abrasive responses (even when I wasn't responding to him and was just having a normal conversation) & then issue me warnings or behavior strikes for even the slightest thing they could in an effort to get me to bite back and get banned - eventually banning me for 6 months. And I wasn't anywhere NEAR Fred levels of rule breaking.
Messageboards can be tricky to navigate when people aren't willing to just talk stuff out in private messages - and he even ignored my efforts to do so. I wasn't holding a grudge, but they were. It's tough to get context through txt like this. So, I just really started to ignore them and they eventually went away.
Ironically, I still have a strike against me in my warnings that says "Called Fred a moron". Turns out, I was right! Ha!
