It’s made in America
It’s aged in new white oak barrels
The mashbill is at least 51% corn
It’s goes into the barrel at no higher than 125 proof
Nothing is added to the distillate but water
Jack meets all bourbon requirements, the only thing that is different is filtering the distillate through a bed of sugar maple charcoal, aka the Lincoln County Process. Chris Fletcher (the master distiller at JD) has stated plenty of times they meet all the requirements to be called a bourbon, but market as Tennessee Whiskey because it’s a designation unique to Tennessee. Almost all bourbon whiskey, and almost all the legacy distillers use sour mash. Only a select few use the sweet mash process.
