I did not know that, but seems to much a coincidence as it appears the language and more guarateed money this year for 1st round picks. Are they maybe wanting better guaramtees or cash upfront too?

We know contract dollar amounts are slotted and 4 year deals so something is up.

All I know is I am sure FO has been spending time on the new lease as it expires in a few days and probably still ironing out the legal portion and final details, but then hopefully they can focus on getting 2 rookies signed and 1 vet an extended deal prior to TC which is about 30 days away I believe and approachig fast.
