The Official Bengals Board Fantasy Football League
(Yesterday, 12:02 PM)Tiger Teeth Wrote: Sorry boys.  I have no experience with this.  We're stuck with last year's rules and lineup.  Sorry.  But I'm learning and I don't need more to learn yet.

This is why I said after draft spots selected, to get all the rules issues out before the season starts.  Every year somebody suggests rule changes after season starts, and that is too late.

I have no rule changes myself.

The way Fantasy usually does waivers is fine with me.  This suggestion that only last place teams each week should have top waivers, that could set up Tanking on purpose to get top free agents each and every week.  I see it as unfair to a team in the middle of the pack trying to improve to play-off level, those teams would never get a top waiver pick.  You could say it's good for the rich and the poor, but hard on the middle class. Another problem would be changing the basic Fantasy system on waivers that all Fantasy systems use, and trying to install this thing.  You say as new league manager you don't want to make this more complicated than it has to be in your first year. So my suggestion would be to just use the waiver system all Fantasy media uses from Yahoo to ESPN to CBS.  That once you get a top waiver, you go back to last until you move up again.  I do see the idea of giving last place teams help, but it is too much of a reward for losing and unfair to teams in the middle who would never get a waiver pick to make a play-off run.

So my suggestion on waiver rule change is to have no waiver rule change at all.  This is coming from me who had last place seasons, and saying that in last place, I should not have been rewarded with the #1 waiver pick each week.  That would have been unfair to others those seasons.

I'm not knocking the suggestion however. This is the time to make rules suggestions.  What is silly is those who make rule change suggestions after the season has started.

Again, I have no rule changes.  You say you are new to league manager, so probably going with Yahoo rules a lot might make it easier on you.  We all have a fair chance under the basic Yahoo Rules. We don't have to turn it into a Sgt Bilko poker game where 2's, 3's and One Eyed Jacks are Wild. We can simply play straight poker, or straight Yahoo Rules for the most part.

To the new league manager, you hang in there and keep pitching, you are doing good.  Same goes for Bengals Fantasy baseball league managers. You are doing a good job.
