In 9 games:  20 receptions on 22 targets for 158 total yards, 17.6 yards per game.  I don't know much about other aspects of his game like blocking.  I might be wrong but it seems like I remember others saying he was fairly good at it.  I think mostly the hype is based on his perceived potential. 

He looked good because he could block and was a fairly solid receiving threat.

Not as good a blocker as Sample, not the receiving threat of Gesicki, but not very far below either as well.

Maybe we were all enamored with him because the TE position has been so weak for so long?

Was personally a huge fan of trying to retain Hurst, but it was not to be...
