They signed Trey early 2 years ago which is why he is being paid 21 million for the 2025 season. You cant complain about the Bengals not signing guys early so they have lower cap hits then turn around and complain the next year or year after the contract is too low and the player should be paid a lot more. Which is it? If the Bengals had signed Chase early last year for 30 million per season you would be the same people that would turn around and complain about Bengals management not paying Chase enough money because he outplayed his early contract.
