Reds haven't been consistently far away from .500 since Bryan Price was the Manager.
In the 7 years since Price, Reds have had 75+ wins all but one season and on pace to do it again this year.

I would argue the lack of salary floor has forced the Bengals into putting a little bit more money into the team than the Reds ownership does, plus the cap helps keep parity in the league.

I would guess personally though that you may find more enjoyment going to Bengals games and watching football than you do baseball.
For me, I'm more than happy to drive 4.5 hours to go watch a baseball game on a Saturday once or twice in a season even if the Reds aren't overly contenders compared to trying to go watch a game on a Sunday and get back home by EOD Sunday to go to work Monday for a Bengals game.
Not to mention watching baseball in person is far more enjoyable than watching on TV whereas watching football on TV is much closer to watching in person (for me), so I would choose to watch football from home and would rather be at GABP for baseball games.
And the final aspect of going to games between both sports is obviously price.

I've never been a season ticket holder for any sport, as when I lived in greater Cincy area I was either a kid or poor college student and then moved away once leaving college, not wanting to spend all that time commuting to games while also paying the prices. If I lived in greater Cincy area though, I would have likely at least tried doing season tickets one season for Bengals and probably would go to 10+ Reds games a year.

I get where your coming from but 75 wins is still under .500 in baseball.  Being a .500 team in baseball is still a crap team because your not making the playoffs.  In football, the Bengals finish 9-8 and they'll looked at as a shit team.  Since 2003, the Bengals have been a consistent team in regards to winning season.  They've had good and bad season.  No matter how much we want the Browns to change their business model, they arent.  They've changed somewhat because in the past they would've never given Tee and Jamarr big contracts.  They've been known to sign 1 and let the other walk. If the Bengals had signed Jamarr and Trey and let Tee walk you'd  hear people bitching and complaining about that.  So you can't make everyone happy.  Again, my guess is eventually Trey gets done.  Shamar, I could give 2 shits if they let him go back to the draft in 2026 and let him be someone elses headache like they did with Ricky Hundley in 1984.
