Market for Trey should be between 30-35M.
If i had to take a wild shot in the dark...i'd say they're probably offering around 26M.
The NFL teams rarely tear up contracts whicj is seems you are suggesting the FO do with Trey. They just extended Chase, but they did not ignore the 5th year of his rookie deal with the new contract.
It is not realistic to expect the team to suddenly pay Trey 30 to 35 million in 2025, all fully guaranteed. If that is his exectation, he will not get a ew contract. As I have said this is a business transaction. Currently Trey the businessman has a 15.8 guaranteed contract. The money he earns in 2025 does not include the bonus money he signed upfront, many forget he is being compensated more than 15.8 in 2025, he just got the money upfront when signed the extension.
Here is Trey's choice, don't agree and sit out or play for current deal. Work with FO to get a nice 2025 bonus, say 6 to 7 million, all guaranteed. Then work with team on years 2 and 3. His goal should b 2 fold, get as much guaranteed money and higher APY in years 2 and 3.
The team has made an offer to extend Trey, we have no idea what it is, but it appears one side has decided to not accept and that is not the FO. Why would the team call and reach out if Trey told them to pound sand with their offer and they have no intention of budging. It appears to me it is Trey's camp that said no and now they are hoping the FO blinks.
I hope they work it out. I also understand the team's position, he is 31 years old and a limited future (age). Trey's agent screwed up with last contract, not the Bengals. Now he seems to expect the Bengals to repay him because he as underpaid as he over performed. It does not work that way, nit just with us but any team.
I keep referencing Watt who also wants an extension (new deal) and like Trey is on final year of his conract. Do any fans think they are going to give Watt 40 million. year in 2025, 2026 and 2027? I say no way.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!
