If you wanna get nerdy with it, a passing play with no pressure is a +0.233 EPA play. Only hurrying a QB still allows +0.019 EPA. Hitting a QB is a -0.161 EPA play. Hitting a QB AND hurrying his throw is a -0.323 EPA play. Sacking a QB is a -1.856 EPA play. You need to hit the QB 11.5 times or hit AND hurry nearly 6 times just in order to equal the EPA impact of 1 sack.

Drooling over a guy who gets pressures without being able to seal the deal is how you end up as the folks who wanted to pay Carl Lawson a mountain of money because he got pressures.... but at least Carl Lawson had the decency to get 14 sacks in his 3 years in college.
