This is a peak example of how some folks get a little too obsessed over the advanced advanced stats.
2024
EDLC Basic Stats: 29 Errors at SS, that is BAD.
EDLC Advanced Stats: -2 Defensive Runs Saved at SS, that is BAD.
EDLC Advanced Advanced Stats: 15 Outs Above Average at SS, that is AMAZING!
A serious and decent sized contingent of baseball folks out there: "EDLC is actually an amazing SS, you just need to stop looking at both the traditional and the old advanced stats."
2025: 6 errors in 19 games

Reminding me a whole lot of back when people were excited over extending Homer Bailey instead of Johnny Cueto (or hell, even Mike Leake), confident it was a better move because of the advanced advanced stats at the time.
