In those days, we were playing a 43 defense and carrying like 6-7 LBs on the roster. Plus 2 FBs. 

Now? I'd be shocked if we carry only 4 DTs. Frankly, I think 6 is more likely. However, like you, I am kinda old school. I do long for a FB and some OLB types. If so, we have to cut somewhere. 

Personally, I'd go with fewer TEs (4 not 5) and fewer WRs 5 not 6). But that is just me. Having some 2 way TEs would free up a roster spot. Now we need a blocking TE + his backup (Sample + Grandy) and a receiving TE + his backup (Gesicki + Hudson). All waa our all around. IDK what the point of McLachlan is.
