I have him pegged as Rd 2, as I don't think he's making it to Bengals Rd 3.
He's projected in the 50's among prospects.
And Bengals are having him visit.
If you look at the guys they've met with who play OT/OG, I'm not seeing any 1st round guys who would make sense at 17.
Conerly, Ratledge, and Savaiinaea look to be about the highest projected prospects, and those are all in the 30-60 range.
Yeah if I did a mock this would be the guy though I don't like planning around someone. To the topic, Ford is an affordable 6th man as a fallback though not ideal starter. Cincy doesn't usually take Guards early even as bare as they are but with multiple college tackles projecting better at guards it makes sense.
Start at guard now and justify the high pick (when we need so much D help) by being able to play Tackle at some point. Then, you can still add a mid round guard that could beat out the incumbents like Volson did (shivers, circle of life). That or take a project tackle late and hope they develop behind either spot.
