Who knows. I know that when I was younger I was bitter at the idea of them leaving and if I had anything close to a backup team it was the crappy Lions only because of Barry Sanders. Now, I don't know. If they did move, I agree that it would have to be too good to be true, like extend the lease, the thing that we won't talk about happens and then Katie decides to sell or move the team to Austin. I'm just playing along with the scenario. I can't see them going half way and moving to Louisville but I think they would still be my team if they did, I'd just be annoyed by the extra 2 hours. I don't think I'd be an Austin fan. I'm an Ohioan but it seems like Cincy is shared with Kentucky anyway, they'd still be "ours". So yeah, I don't think they move but if they did that's where I stand. Maybe I stay an Austin fan for Burrow, who knows. Interesting topic that I hadn't really considered for like a decade.
Like I said, if they moved to Kentucky I don't think it'd be more than a jump across the river. That said (and this will not happen) it would be interesting to see them move to the Kentucky Speedway. While they'd have to remove the track to put up a stadium, the parking lots and infrastructure are already there. Plus, it would put them squarely between Cincinnati, Louisville and Lexington, so they'd draw from all three cities. The drawback is, besides the track, there's really nothing else there, other than a closed strip joint. But like I said, it will never happen. The players mostly live close to the stadium.
