Candelario on the other hand has never really been a "good" hitter. .239 career BA, .731 career OPS. .225 BA and .707 OPS last year.
I'm not expecting him to magically turn it around much.
His contract feels like an overpayment for what he brings.
Indeed it does. I mean he's just "a guy" that's ok to have around as a spot starter or whatever. But in the big scheme of things he doesn't move the needle that much.
