They knew last summer that he was hurt.  They rode it out.  Offseason comes along and the Reds have to try to build the 2025 roster.  Knowing that this ownership group is quite actually cheaper than the Brown family (marinate on that thought for as long as you like), they do the dumbest and worst possible thing imaginable.  

Instead of fixing the issue, they ignore it and use hope as a strategy (a theme here).  Forget about it for 4-5 months, hope it vanishes, perhaps magically, perhaps due to luck, Idk.  Now, knowing that this leaves a big roster hole (LF, DH, utility infield), they pretend it's fine just like they did when the dumb shits got Williamson hurt last season.  

Why would they do this with an important piece of the lineup?  Because admitting he was compromised long-term would have meant that the need to add an OF was even more crucial to the team's 2025 success.  Slot ol' Spencer right into that lineup all offseason knowing he's damaged goods, save money, act real surprised when what has happened plays out in real time.  I despise these douchebag owners.

It's bad enough that they profit off of selling false hope to fans.  It's morally reprehensible that they play games with the physical and financial health of their players.  

But don't worry.  Tito is magic.  He can win the division with AAA never-will be's because he's some kind of wizard that doesn't need good players to win.  

At this rate, Tito will be tapping out before his contract ends.  His health and legacy would probably both benefit from him not ever setting foot in that sack of crap Castellini's office.

Steer now in 21 at bats is hitting .048 and ad LL has posted his exit velocities are in the 80's. It's perfectly clear to everybody besides Reds mgmt. Steer has no business being on the field. Put Herd a bees or whoever in at DH for crying out loud.
