How bad is the rest of the -dline at pass rushing?

Also the Brown family doesn’t really lowball you on a year to year basis

They may not guarantee as much of the deal but on a AAV basis it’s usually right at market value

I assume the “number”
Discussed is guarantees and this is just sad for Trey because if his agent didn’t get him to sign the 1 year extension last offseason he’d be an UFA and would have massive leverage now.

I just don’t see any team giving a 30 year old pass rusher 3-4 years and 32M per when this is around the time pass rushers fall off

I think both parties get outta this with a 1 year extension worth 35M. Like bro we can’t time travel back to the past and give you more money just cause you outplayed your deal but we can’t give you a thank you deal out the door of 35M and then say goodbye on good terms

I took number to mean AAV, but it's hard to say. She might have meant both.

The Bengals kind of painted themselves into a corner with drafting. Say IF Murphy had 6 sacks last year...they'd have more leverage. They really have nothing besides Trey at DE other than Ossai.
