7 hits and 7 runs in 2.2 innings, yikes. Was it 3 HR's

All three were grooved. He only had one walk but control was the main issue because he doesn't normally throw poor to mediocre fastballs/cutters/sliders right down the middle of the plate . . . and in GABP? That has to be a rarity or hopefully a one off.
For those of you wanting a trade . . . here's the top ten targets according to some guy.

I must be so out of touch with baseball now. I hardly know any of these names lol.
Abreu sounds like a potential target given they could use a consistent RF, and he does have .792 OPS and 13 HRs this year. That could add some pop to the lineup.
But the BoSox are right about the same record as Reds, so they probably would be looking to trade for someone impactful for them, as their season isn't ready to give up on yet. Not sure that is a team I'd be looking to try to trade with.
The Orioles, White Sox, and Marlins though are clearly out of the running barring a miracle.
Would Mullins be able to play RF? I don't want to move Friedl, who is doing very well this year.
Not interested in Alcantara or Eflin really, as their ERA suggests they wouldn't really offer much upgrade over the SPs the Reds already have.
Robert has seemingly fallen off a cliff since his All Star campaign in 2023.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
Caught the grounder . . . then, for some stupid reason, he took his time to shuffle his feet, not in a "get my feet into throwing position" kind of way, but in a "I need to get rid of this quickly" kind of way and threw off balance off of one foot . . . That's why he's often replaced in the field by the end of a win.
The only positives that I can take out of this is Singer pitched great and McLain finally broke the .200 barrier.
If the Reds can’t play above .500 in their own division, you can kiss the playoffs goodbye.
The Brewers and Cardinals will be in the wild card hunt and Chicago will probably win the division. We can’t catch the teams in front if you can’t beat them head to head.

Agree, but we still stink in extra inning games. Not sure why it’s so difficult to advance runners to 3rd and get a fly ball. Seems like we always make to quit outs and then get the fly ball.
You can’t go extra innings again and not score a run with a runner at 2nd to start the inning. This team is so bad at making contact with runners in scoring position. How many times how the reds not scored a run in extra innings?
