Yes, I realize he agreed to a contract, but he's been in the top sack leaders in the NFL for 3 yrs, so he deserves a productivity bonus at the very least.  Cutting Pratt and reducing Volson's money should allow us plenty of room to get this done.  We have almost $32-M in cap space.  Katie Blackburn offered him $28-M, that's a $10M raise on an extension, but he wants a multi-year guarantee.  He's 31, so Father Time is catching up with him in NFL years, so I guess this is the impasse.

Offer him a guaranteed 28M for 2 years, with a likely-to-be-earned bonus of $5M to be in the top NFL sack leaders with a minimum of 14-sacks. We can afford the cap hit, but if he doesn't produce, then the $5M bonus gets rolled into next year's cap space.  That still leaves us with $17M in cap space and gives him an incentive to produce at a higher level. 

We need him on defense, or else we're going to have to score 45 points a game to win on a last-second second FG.  Would Jerry Jones be playing this game with the NFL sack leader?   Maybe I'm missing something, but I know what I'm paying for season tickets, and they're some of the most expensive in the league.  Get him happy and let's get back to the Super Bowl!!

28 million is a 12 million dollar raise as his guaranteed base is 15.6 million. He was already paid the rest of the cap hit in 2022 signing bonus.

I am not saying he is not worth it, but the question becomes ho much in 2025 to get him to sign an extension for 2026 and possibly 2027.
