Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - Essex Johnson - 07-16-2025 Solid choices RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - Wyche'sWarrior - 07-16-2025 Agreed, very good choices. RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - pally - 07-16-2025 Congratulations to 2 Bengals greats RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - Sled21 - 07-16-2025 Absolutely! Lap played every position on the O-line, and Parrish, heck, QB's wouldn't even throw at him. RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - SunsetBengal - 07-16-2025 Well deserved honor for a pair of Bengal legends, congratulations! RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - 3wt - 07-16-2025 LOVED watching these guys play! Well deserved! RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - rfaulk34 - 07-16-2025 Good choices. ![]() RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - masonbengals fan - 07-16-2025 Both are more than deserving. Solid choices. RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - bengalfan74 - 07-16-2025 Two good ones, well deserved RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - Clark W Griswold - 07-16-2025 Congrats - Parrish is a no brainer. For arguments sake I think Montoya should have gotten in before Lap. 4 time pro bowler and Lap had 0 I think. He is the voice of the Bengals otherwise I think others (deservedly) get in before him. I also think they may need to just do it every other year to not water it down so much. Hate to be negative but Lap was not a ROH level player - if you remove his popularity of being the voice of the Bengals I don’t think he makes it. Just my opinion go ahead and disagree. Not much else to talk about until one of the Edges (hopefully) signs; RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - JaggedJimmyJay - 07-17-2025 Mr. Bengal and the best defensive back in Bengals history (all respect to Ken Riley). That'll work. RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - Speedy Thomas - 07-17-2025 (07-16-2025, 10:58 PM)Clark W Griswold Wrote: Congrats - Parrish is a no brainer. I am in total agreement. Lapham is seemingly a great guy and bleeds Bengal orange & black. But Max Montoya is the best guard in franchise history and it's not even a question. I also concur that they need to put the brakes on inductions. One a year, please. But Montoya played Guard. Lapham played all five positions on the line. Kind of like having a really good screwdriver or a multi-tool. If you're turning a screw, you want the screwdriver. If something else happens, you might want that multi-tool to fix the situation. As for the rest..... just sheese. Years and years of people complaining about no Ring of Honor, now we're inducting too many people. Going back to 1968, if we drop to 1 a year, there are some great players who will never see the Ring. I stand corrected. RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - rfaulk34 - 07-17-2025 (07-16-2025, 10:58 PM)Clark W Griswold Wrote: Congrats - Parrish is a no brainer. Lap def gets in for his overall contribution and longevity. I agree Montoya was a way more deserving player, but he'll get there soon. RE: Congrats Lapham and Parrish to Ring of Honor - Millhouse - 07-18-2025 Well deserved for both! No arguments from me that Montaya was a better player than Lap but this isn’t looking at purely playing (Paul Brown was the first inductee). It’s looking at the overall legacy and Lap has had a ring of honor career that goes well beyond his playing days. I think the more interesting question is who from the original shortlist doesn’t eventually get in? |
