EDGE - Top Percentage of Pass Rushes with a Pressure - ochocincos - 04-14-2025 <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Pearce had the highest percentage of pass rushes result in a pressure among the top-projected edge rushers in the draft - 23.4% RE: EDGE - Top Percentage of Pass Rushes with a Pressure - Synric - 04-14-2025 Doesn't surprise me. It's being controlled while doing it is Pearce's issue. He would have alot more sacks with how he was used at Tennessee. I'm feeling like there's a lot more of these edge rushers who fit better as 3-4 OLBs who can have a little more room to work with and maybe more opportunities to come in untouched rather than hand-in-the-dirt 4-3 DEs who constantly have to get engaged with OL. Maybe I just need more research into the group though. RE: EDGE - Top Percentage of Pass Rushes with a Pressure - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 04-14-2025 Thought Pearce looked really good getting pressures when I watched him. As Synric said, not really surprising. We need to get an End that finishes Sacks though besides Trey. Pearce misses sacks quite a bit and he got dominated by Donovan Jackson in the Playoff. At least Shemar Stewart isn't terrible in this regard even if his production is next to nil. As Synric said, not really surprising. We need to get an Pearce has had 17.5 sacks across the previous two collegiate seasons. Pearce's 10.0 sacks in 2023 led the SEC. I'd take a guy who maybe misses sacks 50% of the time but still has 10 sacks over a guy who misses sacks just 25% of the time but only has 5 sacks. All true, cannot disagree and hey, we met with Pearce, so he is definitely a possibility and if we drafted him I would be all on board, same with Green or Nolen. Honestly I was more concerned with how Donovan Jackson owned him in that game more than what he did the rest of the time with Tennessee. Maybe I should, but I haven't. I'm honestly surprised we aren't hearing more about Donovan Jackson as a solidified 1st round pick given how he's done so well at both OG and OT. He really took on OT well and quickly. Jackson has a(n incomplete) RAS score of 9.00 when categorized as a Guard, 7.41 when categorized as OT. I getcha and also am surprised Donovan Jackson is not being talked about more late in the 1st. Most have him going mid to late 2nd and even making it to the 3rd round, but a Guard that can also play Tackle is very valuable and that is what we need. I wouldn't be upset at all if we took Jackson in the 2nd rd. In fact, as you say, I'm kinda surprised he's not getting more love as a later 1st rd. selection |
