Klatts take on Bengals 1st pick - coachmcneil71 - 02-21-2025 I was listening to his take on Cincy at #17. He was advocating for us to take Tyler Warren TE from Penn St. Warren is a big target in the middle of the field and is also a Swiss army knife type of player. He can run the Wildcat and he can throw the ball. It was intriguing to say the least. He makes a very good argument stating how valuable a stud TE is for winning SBs. He used Brady/Gronk, PM/TK, and maybe one other duo as examples. I mean, if we get our dudes on offense signed and Trey. This would be one hell of a weapon for Burrow. Klatt goes into some of that as well. Warren in RD #1, and a D-lineman in RD #2 wouldn't hurt my feelings. All depends on how free agency goes, but if it goes our way this draft should be mostly defensive heavy. Need an IOL or two of course. Just thought I would share. Seemed a different direction and take than the vast majority of outlets are prognosticating. RE: Klatts take on Bengals 1st pick - bfine32 - 02-21-2025 I've been in love with Warren for 2 years RE: Klatts take on Bengals 1st pick - SunsetBengal - 02-21-2025 I'd love to have Tyler Warren as a Bengal as well. We'll just have to see how free agency shakes out, and then we'll have a better picture of what their options at #17 will be really be. RE: Klatts take on Bengals 1st pick - sandwedge - 02-22-2025 I keep going back and forth DL or Warren for #17. Is there gonna be a DL in rd2 that can come in and contribute in a rotation? RE: Klatts take on Bengals 1st pick - bengalfan74 - 02-22-2025 If Warren falls that far and they draft him I'm not going to be upset. Especially with the injury to Erick All and McLachlan showing nothing as a rookie. Want us to bring back Gesicki but he is a big WR pretty much, not a true all around TE like Tyler Warren is. I like this plan as well as drafting Kenneth Grant the most when I think about it right now. This is a deep Draft for DL which is what makes this possible. From what I've been able to gather it seems as though the Boys covet two players, Jeanty, and Warren. If they go with the RB it's possible that he could fall to #17, but I sort of doubt it. He seems to be one of a handful of guys in this draft with an actual true first rd grade. RE: Klatts take on Bengals 1st pick - FormerlyBengalRugby - 02-23-2025 Love the idea of the Bengals drafting Warren, but they need to be active in free agency and fix the o-line. That cannot be left to chance or forced in the draft. I wrote about drafting Warren in the main forum as well when discussing Tee. The price tag for a top TE is nowhere near that of a top WR, so Warren's second contract would be significantly less than that of a WR of similar caliber. It all means nothing if they cannot keep Burrow upright. Yup, I'll be thoroughly shocked if Warren is there at 17. I've seen several drafts where he's top 10. RE: Klatts take on Bengals 1st pick - The D.O.Z. - 02-23-2025 I would absolutely love TW in stripes. Sadly, I don’t think he falls that far. Some team that uses 2TE sets and big formations as a large part of their identity will draft him before us. Probably a run-dominant team. If he did somehow make it to us at 17, I’m sprinting to the podium! |
