The difference is I can criticize the FO like I have for poor drafting, haters can't bring themselves to say great job signing Chase FO, always with a disclaimer attached like the messed up and should have got him cheaper. Then in next breath chastise Bengals FO for a stellar extension by saying they lowballed him Have a great day and hope you can channel the hate, it will kill you. As others have said Touchdowns and yards do matter. But what also matters is targets. Tee had 7 less targets in 5 less games sharing the field with Jamarr Chase. Flowers had 7 redzone targets 5th on their team while Tee had a 50% redzone target share weeks 13-16. I'm not saying Flowers is better or equal to Tee and my fandom would take Tee every day of the week. But these are different offenses and a receiver can only use the opportunities that he's given. RE: Stewart is signed! - pally - 07-27-2025 we will see if he is still singing the same tune when it comes to the next contract negotiations. Happy the Bengals got the language out and got a deal done with this immensely talented player. I know people will hate on his lack of sacks, but the dude just needs to learn to keep his head up and finish and he could be a great pass rusher. He is already our best run stopping End in my opinion and we needed that after Sam retired. I just hope Shemar keeps his head on straight as it worried I think almost all of us the way he talked, he was right, but he should of just shut up, practiced and kept his head down and tried and been professional. Right now, he is just a rookie in the big man's league and will need to earn the vets respect. RE: Stewart is signed! - Soonerpeace - 07-27-2025 Shemar had the quickest to the QB stat in CF. He’s going to force Lamar inside and set the edge. Some are missing his strategic purpose. If they can improve his technique at finishing he’s the best we could hope for. Yeah, I just hope Shemar can finish the Sack on Lamar if he gets there which is hard to do, ask Sam. That stiff arm was pretty embarrassing last year. But if Shemar can set the edge, that is a great start for the Ends on this Defense. Putting me in a bucket? Very Left Wing of you lol. Even if they didn't sign Chase in 2024 for cheaper they still structured to contract to eat up more cap space than nesssesary to comply with the 90% of cap space used in a 3 year span rule. I've said it several times the Bengals are the exact opposite of the Saints. They structure their contracts in an extreme way pushing cap. It is what it is. He said enough, everybody said he should of just shut up. Being responsible would be to not talk publicly. I never compared him to Pacman, you are embellishing. Trey led the league in sacks, he has a right to talk. A rookie does not. You are the hypocrite, saying Shemar was responsible and Trey is a cry baby. Both agents are dumbasses IMO. I am just glad the Bengals wizened up and signed the last first round rookie. Took long enough. So let me get this straight..A highly rated rookie that is concerned about his livelyhood should not say a word..but trey hendickson that every year and a half complains about the contract he signed and the money he is receiving can run his mouth off every day and denigrate the organiztion A first round draft pick is a big deal and all you overreactors that think the sky was falling and that stewart would not be signed is comical..
