The Brown family are such embarrassments to the fan base. They are trying to institute new contract language for first round players that has not been used before. At one time this organization were innovators such as the Sugar and no huddle offenses. Paul was an innovator in the game using game tapes and he was the first to recognize using radios to communicate plays to the field as well as many other new concepts. All we have now is a money loving organizational they want to do is pinch pennies and be a laughing stalking. Maybe you should had never drafted Shamar if you don’t think he will be good enough to payout the guaranteed money like u did in the prior years. No one said the Bengals were the only one not to sign thier 1st rd pick. He's one of the few, if not the only one, that's not practicing specifically because the Bengals are putting new language in his contract.
Everyone else does it one way, the Bengals want Stewart to do it a different way.

By the article provided it appears they are wanting to add a clause that many other teams already have in place. So perhaps, they're trying to make it not a Bengal thing.
WTS folks will place the onus on the party they "don't like" in this. Not signing at this point is not a Bengal thing or a Stewart Thing, it negociations.
The thing that could be considered a Stewart thing is refusing to participate until signed. Hell, Walter Nolan did do anything pre-draft, was selected just before Stew, in unsigned, and was at camp, as was #2OA Travis Hunter,

Wasting 9 years w a noodle arm dalton, to charging players a fee to rent a TV at mini camp, etc.
They just make a lot of really bad organizational decisions; and that is reflected in their history

It is also amusing, at least to me, that the pick who is not signed had 4 sacks in 3 years of college.
Its just so benagls to totally wiff on the pick, and then botch getting him signed as well.

Everything i've read says it's the Bengals doing this for the first time, for Shemar's contract only. And i don't know of any other teams doing the same.
I'm open to seeing who else does it and adjusting my thoughts.

I get that, it's why I said it's all negotiations, it appears they are changing the way they do contracts and you don't expect Mike Florio to side with the Bengal's organization do you?
The one thing we can agree on, without knowing specifics, is Stew is not participating in OTAs as many unsigned draft picks are.
As I said, folks will point finger at the side they don't like or have already gone against without knowing everything.
