We can’t expect to out score every team every game, giving up 30 plus points a game is a no win situation. The OL definitely needs help, but not by ignoring the defense. 70% of our draft picks and free agent signing, better be on defense, or we will be right back where we ended up this year.

If you can get some assets for him (go get a guard and young WR in round 1-2?, with original assets and those acquired) and replace him with Davante Adams on a reasonable 2 year deal, I see a potential upgrade, even in his age 33 season.
You get similar, if not better production in 25-26, and still grooming a guy to bring in behind him.
Most of the other guys available just don’t play the physical, high point game that a davante/higgins does.
Yeah, need to bring back Tee regardless if he is here or if we can get something for him. You don't just let him test FA and leave.

I like Tee. Any interview you watch he always comes across as someone you would like to have on your team. I would like to have Tee on the team but you cant have so much money tied up in a QB and 2 WRs. The O line needs a couple of proven veterans at the guard positions. The defense needs a couple of vets as well. I just dont see us having the cap space. You could say we should do some cap maneuvering to free up more money. Even if we did this I would rather spend that money to make the defense really good and add to the offensive line.

Both need to be priorities, IOL and the DL need to be the priorities. A top FA Guard and an early pick need to go to the new OL coach.
Just need to get the Defense decent. It was terrible this last season and cost us the Playoffs despite fantastic play from Burrow and Chase.
Get a pass rusher opposite Trey, just heard Haasan Redick's name mentioned to us and get a 3-tech that can disrupt the middle along with a
good FS and we could get decent easily. All of this is possible.

Yeah, the most needs to go to the Defensive side of the ball for sure. On Offense it is just the IOL, so 2 players at the most this Offseason
needs to be added along with bringing back Gesicki and since Joe wants Tee back, he should be back or used in a trade at the very least.

Nobody wants to lose Tee. He is one of the most well liked guys on the team. He would be missed. Unfortunately we are in a hole where we have so many other issues that need addressed. If the Bengals do work out an agreement, fans would be happy to have him.

lol@ "nobody"..if Higgins potential 24 million dollar a year salary could be used to help build a successful defense..most would approve in him not being retained..Higgins misses one third of the season and has to leave other games early because of chronic tendionapthy..and its only going to get worse

Hopkins: 1,667 yards, 12 TD
Higgins: 1,567 yards, 15 TD
And that's with Hopkins' primary QB during those 2 years being Will Levis instead of Joe Burrow.
DeAndre Hopkins is absolutely a #2 WR still. Even with your...interesting... choice of cutoff, 724 yards per season IS WR #2 production. 724 yards in 2024 would put a player at 42nd among WRs league-wide.
Nice playoff game from Hopkins. He had as many receiving yards and catches as me. He’s not a viable nfl wr anymore. Especially in 8 months from now

After watching both games yesterday, I am harping on the need to fix the defense. Detroit can have all the offense in the world, but if you can’t stop the other guy your going to lose. I know Detroit had 5 turnovers, and they still had a chance to win the game if they had a couple of stops.
Same thing for KC/ Houston game, they couldn’t cover Kelce. KC was gifted with 2 called roughing penalties on Mahomes, a bad spot on a 1st down by Houston was taken away, turned into a TO, a gift 1st spot for KC.
Offense is flashy and gets butts in the seat, but defense will win the Super Bowl, again.

I believe the OC and DC of Detroit may have hurt their reputation and possible HC gigs with that fiasco last night. Too many trick plays on offense for Detroit and too many big plays given up on defense.

It is a college offense. Heavy Read Option/RPOs but that doesn't mean it won't work. Washington forces DBs to shed and tackle.

Burrow needs to get under center more often, so we can do RPO, and also needs to get to the line more quickly and stop snapping the ball with 1 or 0 seconds left. It takes the guess work out of when the ball will be snapped and the defense gets a jump on the pass rush.

We should continue to allow Burrow to do what he prefers. he's not the same type QB as Daniels.

He makes his best plays, when he extends the play and finds an open receiver. But he also takes too many sacks, Because he is trying to make the big play. All I’m saying is, he needs to be under center more so the defense can’t load up the pass rush.

This is a pet peeve of mine as well. It happens way to often and like you say it gives the advantage back to the defense.
