I think many of us recall he often talks about going there. I’ve been away all week preparing for a work trip, and am just now seeing this horrible news in the airport at my gate. First off: thoughts are with you Brad. I know you’re going to pull through because you have a spark that won’t let you fail. For those of us who are not local: if anyone attends the fundraiser, please find out how the rest of us might be able to donate (Go Fund Me, etc.). Pasting a link would be incredibly helpful. However, his BAC was 1.12. Legally drunk in Kentucky is .08 At 71, he may be telling the truth. Most people aren’t aware that the bodies ability to metabolize alcohol decreases considerably as you age. Knock them back fast enough in a short window, and it builds quickly. All the more reason it is imperative to not drive afterwards. People always want to try and remember the old charts saying 1 drink an hour is okay, but that is for a young, healthy person. Especially since many beers sold today have a higher alcohol content than when that 1 drink, 1 hour formula was put out. Body weight has a lot to do with it, too. RE: Prayers For Brad - HarleyDog - 07-13-2025 Brads brother Micky texted me his address for anyone who wants to write Brad or send a card. He would prefer these to be sent to his address so he can ensure Brad receives them. 563 Trevino Ridge Crestview Hills KY 41017 RE: Prayers For Brad - HarleyDog - 07-13-2025 (07-13-2025, 01:37 PM)pally Wrote: A go fund me for Brad. Also a shout out to the doctors and medical staff at UC. Top notch care goes a long way. RE: Prayers For Brad - Nepa - 07-13-2025 I see Brad's story has made national news. Here is an article from the New York Post complete with a picture of Brad waving to those in passing cars. https://nypost.com/2025/07/12/us-news/wheelchair-waver-struck-by-alleged-drunk-driver-decades-after-similar-tragedy-left-him-disabled/ RE: Prayers For Brad - HarleyDog - 07-14-2025 Here's the latest update on Champ. Quote:We had some big changes (in a good way), but not a whole late to report for the day. Brad was in even better spirits today as he spent most of the time reviewing cards, comments, posts from all of you. He watched several of the news videos and he smiled through everyone of them! The success of the GoFundMe is astonishing. He is in disbelief. We all were talking about it and while the dollar amount is incredible, the number of donations is what really is unbelievable. I wish I could reach out to each person individually, but please know we are forever grateful! |
