Reds bats were dead the last two days. I feel bad for the starters, Hunter Greene should be 2-0 right now.

This is the difference between facing a #5 starter and then facing the top 2 starters afterwards.

Tip the cap to the opponent, learn from it and move on. Four big games in Milwaukee starting tomorrow.

This week feels awfully bad.

Made even worse by 0 walks and 18 strikeouts over the last two games.... also both games EDLC with the final at-bat, down 1 run, runner on base. 0-2.

I know it's waayy early, but it sure feels like the same offense as last year. The good news is the Brewers are starting off slow as well.

Their two opponents after one week.
Rangers 5-2 - went 3-1 vs the Red Sox in the first series.
Giants 5-1 - just swept the Astros
NL West is going to be wild
Dodgers 8-0
Padres 7-0
Giants 5-1
Diamondbacks 4-2
Rockies 1-4
Brutal division.
The Reds are tied for 3rd/4th in the Central with the Brewers at 2-4.

Fairchild traded to the Braves for cash.

RE: Reds March/April 2025 thread - TheLeonardLeap - 04-03-2025

Top of the 5th just ended, Reds down 1-0.

24 straight scoreless innings.

Looking good
Oh yea, they were ready to start the season. Maybe we can set a record for losing three games in a row 1-0

It’s like watching the bengals start every season with Zac Taylor as coach.

No need to work on the weak popups . . . they've perfected that.

Steer's exit velocity is tanking. The two balls he put into play today were 80.1mph and 81.9mph.

Watching the Reds play is like watching paint dry. Could it get any more boring?

Major League Baseball players have been playing baseball and hitting their whole lives. How is it, they can’t make decent contact.
Is Cincinnati where hitters go to tank their careers. They couldn’t make decent contact off a hitting tee.

He is obviously not ready to play baseball, there s something wrong with Steers.  He should be sent down to work on making solid contact.

He's still dealing with a shoulder issue. There's another thread about that.

Absolutely pathetic.

RE: Reds March/April 2025 thread - Goalpost - 04-03-2025

Unearned run was enough to beat this hitting juggernaut 1-0.

Beyond pathetic. How in the **** does a major league baseball team get shut out 1-0 in 3 straight games??

RE: Reds March/April 2025 thread - Timanky12 - 04-03-2025

I don’t even want to hear one person say, it’s still early. I am sick and tired of hearing that every year.
We just gave away 3 games in a row, by not scoring 1 run. And we gave away the opening by giving up 4 runs in the 9th.
You can’t keep giving away winnable games and expect to make the playoffs. I don’t care if it’s the 1st week of the season or not. These early games mean just as much as the games late in the season.

RE: Reds March/April 2025 thread - BrownAssClown - 04-03-2025

The Reds pitchers have given up a whopping 3 runs the last 3 games and not 1 win to show for it. In the words of the great Marty Brennaman..."Absolutely Atrocious!"

RE: Reds March/April 2025 thread - The D.O.Z. - 04-04-2025

Looks like the same, shitty team we’ve all grown accustomed to. But hey, hiring Tito should fix it!
