I really like Tyler Warren. The Bengals need to use FA s we can draft BPA. I like Booker the guard from Bama also. Did he play today or sit out for the draft? You spelled Loveland wrong. Colston Loveland might be the better fit for the Bengals especially if they let Mike G walk. RE: Scouting The Bowl Games - bfine32 - 01-01-2025 PEACH BOWL: ASU v. TEX TEX: ISAIAH BOND/WR: Bond moved to Tex from Bama and Xavier Worthy became known as "that slow receiver from last year" We have plenty 6'+/200+ WR. We need a Treek Hill ANDREW MUKUBA/DB: The kind of DB we like can play every position in the backfield but usually lines up at FS ASU: CAM SKATTEBO/RB: Cam has looked like a man among boys all year. Let's see if he can be a man among men today XAVION ALFORD/S: X actually started out as a highly touted recruit who started at TEX.After a year at USC and 2 years on the sidelines he found his way to ASU. X is described as an inspirational team leader RE: Scouting The Bowl Games - Luvnit2 - 01-01-2025 (01-01-2025, 10:35 AM)Synric Wrote: You spelled Loveland wrong. I know he is highly ranked, but I just don't see star TE in the NFL. I think he is closer to Mayer from ND than Bowers from Georgia. Tyler Warren is a beast. Put him on the field with Chase and Higgins and opposing defenses have coverage nightmares. Last night he showed again his ability to block spring PS running backs for huge gains. I see Warren as an impact round 1 pick. I see Loveland as a solid NFL TE, but nothing special caching the football and getting open. But we would need to fix OG and DL prior to draft to draft another receiver early in my opinion. Nah Colston Loveland is an elite athlete at 6'6 255 he comps more to Tyler Eifert or Dallas Goedert. He is going to be a high quality receiving TE that can give you average blocking from different formations. Tyler Warren is the opposite an elite blocking TE that can play big boy ball underneath and use his size and length to win as a receiver. In the Bengals offense Loveland just fits better. RE: Scouting The Bowl Games - bfine32 - 01-01-2025 ASU doesn't belong on this field. I think that we saw a glimpse of what the offense might look like in those few weeks that Eric All and Mike Gesicki were on the field together. The contrasting styles definitely benefit the offense, and having a TE that enjoys laying some vicious blocks not only benefitted the passing game, but helped with the rushing as well. As for me, I'd like to see Tyler Warren be the pick. We'll have at least one more opportunity to see him against a high quality opponent to further critique him from. But as for now, I'd like to see Gesicki re-signed and Tyler Warren drafted. RE: Scouting The Bowl Games - bfine32 - 01-01-2025 Skattebo got stuffed on 4th down, his teammate tried to help him up and Skat pushed him away. I've read where he had past issues of worrying about anyone other than himself. RE: Scouting The Bowl Games - bfine32 - 01-01-2025 Many may not remember but with G-Sticky and Warren we'd have 2 PSU TEs RE: Scouting The Bowl Games - Synric - 01-01-2025 Sugar Bowl is being postponed to tommorrow due to the attack that just happened on Burboun Street. Not for a lack of trying, that fake punt pass to the DL was a thing of beauty. Yeah, their D has buckled down. Offense is doing them no favors going for it on 4th so much. You may be right about Skattebo being self-absorbed. I heard the commentators talking about his statement that "no one can stop me", looking like Texas took offense to that statement. They showed that after Skat pushed his teammate away, he then went to the sidelines and started yelling at the coaches about the blocking. Not a "no one can stop me" mentality. I am not sure why you feel an average blocking TE fits best in our offense. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/4723086/colston-loveland ESPN has him listed at 6'5" and 249lbs. I respect your opinion as I know you do your homework. I think any good offense can adapt and change for the better if that add a different element. Tyler Warren is listed at 6'6" and 257. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/4431459/tyler-warren I think barring injuries from the 2 players, Warren will be the better TE throughout their careers. Warren had a career breakout year in 2024. He has improved every year significantly and has better college stats if you can compare his last 3 years to Loveland. Warren also has 6 rushing TD's including 197 yards and 4 TD. s in 2024. He may be closer to Travis Kelcie than others in the past years. I know I am on the Warren hype train. I just don't see Loveland being a stud TE in the NFL, I don't feel he has elite college TE numbers. Won't matter Bengals are not going to take a TE round 1. Not with zero pass rush and a DL heavy top 50. Kelvin Banks, Malachi Starks, and Will Johnson will likely be the only prospects to make them look somewhere other than DL. RE: Scouting The Bowl Games - bfine32 - 01-01-2025 ROSE BOWL. OSU v. ORE OSU: JACK SAWYER/DE: Perhaps as one OSU DE rides off into the sunset another arrives EMEKA EGBUKA: The next great OSU WR ORE: JORDAN BURCH: Many folks like his line-mate Harmon and I wouldn't be against it in the 1st. An injury-plagued season allows us to get JB much later. Size: This Calais Campbell AJANI CORNELIUS/OL: A day-2 OL who is a natural RT. Perhaps we could move him inside of let him learn until OBJ leaves |
