RE: Pick 17 Board Picks (2025) - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 03-04-2025 Jalon Walker, LB/Edge Georgia. 2nd tier: Harmon, Emmanwori, Booker, Membou, Jackson, Loveland. After they were saying he was in rare company with his combine performance. RE: Pick 17 Board Picks (2025) - shanebo - 03-04-2025 Harmon or Grant for me. Went with Harmon because I think his pass rush skills fit better with Jenkins or Jackson, our DTs of the future. This board would (rightfully) blow up. I mean, I wouldn't go that direction, but I can see the logic behind it. In my opinion, Egbuka being an Ohio State guy would ease a lot of the initial outrage. RE: Pick 17 Board Picks (2025) - Isaac Curtis: The Real #85 - 03-04-2025 FWIW, Yoshi ranked dead last amongst PFF qualified WR's last year (98/98). Burton looks more like a bust every day. Chuck Sizzle is always hurt despite not playing much. And Williams is not real impactful. If Gesicki is not back, we need receivinh help. A WR should not be viewed as necessarily a Tee/Chase replacement, but more likely a Boyd replacement. I would not do it Rd1, but a guy like Noel or Nash makes sense to me. As would a TE. RE: Pick 17 Board Picks (2025) - Nepa - 03-04-2025 (03-03-2025, 04:05 PM)Whatever Wrote: I think I would personally take Kenneth Grant, here, but voted differently because the Bengals only spoke to one DT at the Combine and that was Nolen. Tyler Warren is the only TE that I would take i the first round, because he is heads and shoulders above the rest of the TEs and can be a lead blocker for RBs, can block for Burrow, can run the push tush (if that stays) (and pass if needed), and is a talented receiver. But given that Warren is gone in this particular draft (and most likely in the actual draft), I think it would be a good idea to grab Grant. I like Jackson as a potential force at the NT position, but the word is potential in terms of Jackson. I see Grant as a sure thing as NT and a major disruptive force in the middle. And if Jackson develops, it wouldn't hurt to rotate the two now and then and keep them both fresh and can use both in goal line stands and against the tush push. And Grant is athletic enough that he can line up in other spots than just the NT. I like Warren a lot, too, but I don't have him head and shoulders over Loveland. While Warren is a great prospect and there's a lot of value with his blocking from different alignments and wildcat flexibility, I don't see him as a top receiving talent. I think Heath Miller would be a fair comp for him as a receiver, good, but not truly among the elite. Loveland runs a full route tree and has Kelce/Bowers type receiving potential. He's a true 1st round prospect in his own right. Hard to find TE's that smooth in their routes. I like Grant a lot and think he has elite potential, but it doesn't look like the Bengals are interested in him or really any other DT in this class that isn't a potential elite pass rusher. I kinda get it, because they spent two high picks on that group last year. It is just hard for me to think that the Bengals would take Grant when he's projected in their range and they didn't meet with him. Plus, they did not meet with many DT's at all, which kinda indicates that there's a couple of guys they really like and would take, but they aren't focused on that position. They have met with most all of the top edges and TE's and I have Loveland a lot higher than any of the edges on the board. RE: Pick 17 Board Picks (2025) - Bengalstripes9 - 03-05-2025 I’d like to change my pick to Walker. I think it’s a 70% chance Bengals go edge in the 1st. I wouldn't hate it as long as the trenches are taken care of. Egbuka is as sure of a solid pick as you can get at WR and I am no OSU fan. Tee would hate it though pretty sure. So I would trade him for value if I could. That way he would get his money and be happy. I could see Loveland being the pick for sure with our so called interest in Kincaid years ago. On Grant, haven't we made lots of picks that we haven't met with before? Maybe we are looking at FA for a DT and they have lots of confidence in McKinnley Jackson going into his second year... From your points, EDGE or TE are sounding likely early. |
