I watched that Lions game Sunday. Houston was doubling DJ on run and pass downs, and it allowed the other guy to go 1 v 1 and make some plays. As is, he's better than our DT room has been this year. And just as available, if not more. As he gets healthier, the play should improve. Letting him go and then paying double Detroits vap hit for him for an inferior player who only looks good vs Volson was DAF. I said so then, I say so now. They took Jackson is the 3rd round because they left themselves no choice. A blocking dummy would appear to be worth $2 mil a year after lining up against Volson 's sad ass. RE: Week 11 Injury update - Whacked - 11-14-2024 Any updates as of today on Tee and OBJ?? Humphrey took several steps after Burrow released the ball. The refs assigned to watching for that should be demoted. Hell, both Humphrey and the ref should be fined. 2 full steps before the hit and he didn't let up. The thing is, both Baltimore and Pitt are dirty-ass piece of shit franchises with players that will gladly take the 15 yards (when it's called ) if it knocks the QB out of the game so they're happy to do dirty-ass piece of shit things. Completely different positions and it has shown to be a major mistake by the team. You don't bring in a 3-tech to replace a Nose Tackle and you don't rely on a rookie to play NT even if I like McKinnley. RE: Week 11 Injury update - Nate (formerly eliminate08) - 11-14-2024 Thanks for the updates Pally. Looking encouraging anyways especially with Orlando, didn't expect him to go with that injury. Tough dude. RE: Week 11 Injury update - samhain - 11-14-2024 (11-14-2024, 11:12 AM)WeezyBengal Wrote: Jenkins in the 2nd and Jackson in the 3rd. I have some hope for both rookies, but expecting them to step in and even be a shadow of what Reader is was high fantasy. As in you'd need to be high to believe the fantasy. But functionally and monetarily...yes. The other stupid thing abot letting Reader walk was we had to burn 2 Day 2 picks to replace him. We spent $12 mil, a Rd2 pick, and a Rd3 pick at DT, and still have no pass rush. Reader's cap hit is just over $5. We could have taken that $7 mil, and those two picks, and shopped for: WR3, CB, G, S, or another DL guy. Or a TE with 2 good knees. And it was a weak DT draft. If he avoids the hill, walks up it, or jogs up it, he doesn't play. When he goes full speed, he plays. Today he went up full speed |
