But boyd slipped and couldn't make his break as intended.... that was going for a big gain RE: Special teams - Bengalfan4life27c - 09-13-2019 (09-13-2019, 10:06 AM)XenoMorph Wrote: is that something you looked up or just spouting? You tell me don't you notice we always get block in the back calls. It's like they are being taught to cheat. I don't notice us getting any more of those than other teams. RE: Special teams - XsandOs - 09-13-2019 (09-12-2019, 10:45 AM)fredtoast Wrote: I don't think you understand. The reason they stopped the run game is because they stacked the line against it. That is why we were able to get over 400 passing yards. Exactly. RE: Special teams - Mike M (the other one) - 09-13-2019 In 17 we were tied for 4th. In 18 we were first. http://www.nflpenalties.com/penalty/illegal-block-above-the-waist?view=team&year=2018 for OL penalties (holding false starts) Hart was 2nd in the league Redmond was 5th. Those two were killing us offensively. RE: Special teams - fredtoast - 09-13-2019 (09-13-2019, 12:05 PM)Mike M (the other one) Wrote: In 17 we were tied for 4th. With 11 teams. 14 teams had as many of those penalties as the Bengals. Interesting to see that through the years the Bengals are usually near the top. But it also looks like they started calling more of those penalties over the last couple of years. There was a huge (41%) increase in the number of calls from '16 to '17 (123 to 173). And another significant increase (9%) from '17 to '18. |
